I was contracted for several years by the Oregon Brewers Festival to create their entire package of print and collateral media. It was an honor to design and produce highly visable and complex digital graphics for such a high exposure public event. The media included the souvenir beer glass and program, beer tasting mug, large format signage, collector pins and coasters, embroidery baseball caps, polo and tee shirts, web and broadcast assets.
Eventhough I was given full creative power, I chose not do it alone. As a team member of a large group it would have been disrespectful and potentially time consuming to have pursued the thematic style by myself. I requested design meetings of key decision making members and pulled information from these sessions to develop the final iconic look for the event.
There were very special issues surrounding the event such as demographic appeal, readability and overall public presentation display that were implemented in the design work. For the years that I was contracted for the event, I never missed a deadline nor miss any detail changes. Overall the clients were extremely happy with all the final products.
I was contracted to create a brand identity for a restaurant. A series of creative input meetings took place and specific ideas were established. This was a very difficult assignment. Not only did the branding need to reach a select category of consumers, but it had to have universal appeal for the public at large. I used my knowledge of current trends and public tastes to create the final approved logo.
My solution was a great success. It satisfied the wishes of the client, creating a unique brand identity and having universal appeal.
I was contracted by Trader Joe's food stores to create a new brand beer label. The label had to have cutting edge appeal, yet adhere to stict codes and guidelines. This was another exciting project for Trader Joe's that became a product which has endured many years of shelf life visability.
